Over the past few months I have been fighting on behalf of someone close to me, to get through to the intransigent ignorant medical profession in our area. We are suffering from a terminal case of inadequate treatment and a complete lack of interest..it seems the medics are only too happy to carry on prescribing drugs which dont work, patronising this person, while refusing to listen to the patient, and displaying a condescending irritated attitude when she demontrates her wide knowledge relating to her condition..What will it take for the medical profession to wake up and listen to the patients! It seems as far as this patient is concerned,that she has absolutely no say and more worryingly, no rights, over what happens to her body.
